Bio

Captain Benjamin Goff is a native of Marlborough, Massachusetts and a graduate of the United States Coast Guard Academy class of 2002 where he received his commission.

He has served more than ten years afloat as a cutterman, to include tours as the Executive Officer of USCGC CHANDELUER and USCGC BEAR, and as Commanding Officer of USCGC PEA ISLAND, USCGC NANTUCKET, and USCGC HARRIET LANE. Ashore, he has served as the Deputy Chief for Eastern Pacific Intelligence Targeting at Joint Interagency Task Force South in service of maritime counter-narcotics operations. He specializes in the acquisition, engineering, management, and sustainment of Information Technology, having served the Coast Guard’s strategic business intelligence program office and as the Command, Control, and Navigation Product Line Manager for the Coast Guard’s Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, and Intelligence (C5I) Service Center. He currently serves as the Business Operations Division (BOD) Chief of the C5I Service Center.

Captain Goff holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Operations Research and Computer Analysis from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, a Master of Science degree in Information Technology Management from Nova Southeastern University, a Master of Science degree in Government Information Leadership from the National Defense University, and a Master of Business Administration degree concentrated in Business Analytics from the College of William and Mary.
Captain Goff’s personal awards include the Coast Guard Meritorious Service Medal (two awards), Joint Service Commendation Medal, Coast Guard Commendation Medal (three awards), and the Coast Guard Achievement Medal.

He is married to Bernadett Goff of Nagyvenyim (nodge-ven-yeem), Hungary. They have two children Isabel and Alex.
