Bio

Mr. White is the Joint Project Lead (JPL) for the Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) Information Management/Information Technology (IM/IT). He started in his current position in June 2006 and he reports directly to the Joint Program Executive Officer for JPEO CBRND. As the JPL CBRN IM/IT, Mr. White is responsible for developing, delivering, sustaining and modernizing the Joint Warning and Reporting Network, the Joint Effects Model, and Global Biosurveillance Portal programs employed by the Joint Warfighter.

Prior to his current assignment, Mr. White completed a successful 25 year career as an officer in the United States Navy. His operational assignments included command of HC-2, a helicopter combat support squadron. In addition to serving as a helicopter pilot in the Navy, he devoted his non-flying tours to become educated and experienced in information systems management and acquisition. He had assignments as the Deputy Assistant Chief of Staff for Innovations and Experimentation on the Third Fleet staff and as the Director of Systems at Fleet Combat Training Center, Pacific.

Mr. White’s acquisition career began in 2002 at the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command and continues within the Navy Program Executive Office for Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence and Space. Assignments have included the Military Deputy for Joint Project Manager for Information Systems, the Acquisition Program Manager for the Joint Warning and Reporting System, and the Acquisition Program Manager for the multi-Service Joint Simulations Systems-Maritime Program.

Mr. White is a native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He earned a BS in Biology from the University of Delaware and an MS in Information Systems Management from the Naval Postgraduate School. Mr. White is certified Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Level III in Acquisition Program Management. Mr. White is married to Michelle Magarian White; they have three daughters and a son.
