Bio

Rear Adm. Bradley J. Andros, is an Explosive Ordnance Disposal officer and a native of Poughkeepsie, New York. He graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1994 receiving his commission and a Bachelor of Science in Ocean Engineering. He also holds a Master of Science in National Security Strategy from the National War College, and a 2019-20 Massachusetts Institute of Technology Seminar XXI Fellow.


His sea duty and operational assignments include USS Safeguard (ARS-50); Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit (EODMU) 11; EODMU 6; CruiserDestroyer Group 5; U.S. Fifth Fleet; Thunderstealers of EODMU 8; Navy Expeditionary Combat Forces Central; Task Force 56.
His shore assignments include Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) officer community manager for the Bureau of Navy Personnel; EOD distribution and assignment branch head for Navy Personnel Command; Eastern Mediterranean branch chief for U.S. European Command, Plans, Policy and Strategy directorate; and Navy Expeditionary Warfare branch head for the Office of the Chief of Naval Operations.

He is currently assigned as director J10 Directorate of Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction, U.S. Special Operations Command..
Andros’ awards include the Defense Superior Service Medal, Legion of Merit, Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (four awards), Navy Commendation Medal (four awards), Navy Achievement Medal (two awards) and various other personal and campaign commendations.
