Mr. Christopher R. Seacord is the Joint Project Manager CBRN Sensors. Prior to joining the Joint Program Executive Office for Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Defense, Mr. Seacord served as the Product Manager/Director for Medium Caliber Ammunition, Project Manager Maneuver Ammunition Systems, under Program Executive Office Ammunition at Picatinny Arsenal, NJ. He served as the PM/PD from February 2007 to July 2018 and was responsible for the development of all Army medium caliber munitions and the procurement of all Services medium caliber munitions.

Before becoming a Department of the Army Civilian, Mr. Seacord served over 22 years on Active Duty as an Army Engineer and Acquisition Officer. He retired in October 2010 at the grade of Lieutenant Colonel and transitioned from the Product Manger to the Product Director for Medium Caliber Ammunition. His operational assignments included: Platoon Leader, 516th Engineer Company Medium Girder Bridge (MGB), Battalion Adjutant, 559th Engineer Battalion, and S-1/Brigade Adjutant, 130th Engineer Brigade, Hanau, Germany; Platoon Trainer, Engineer Officer Basic Course, Company Commander, Bravo Company, 2-10 Infantry Regiment, 3rd Training Brigade, and Battle Lab Concept Officer, Engineer Directorate of Combat Developments, Fort Leonard Wood, MO. His acquisition assignments included: Team Leader and Deputy Division Chief, CECOM Acquisition Center – Washington, Alexandria, VA; Operations Officer, CECOM Force XXI Material Developer Cell, Fort Hood, TX; Program Integrator, DCMA – Milwaukee, Oshkosh Truck Corp., Oshkosh, WI; LOGCAP Support, Ramadi, Iraq and Senior Technical Integration Manager, Army Research Office, Durham, NC.

Mr. Seacord holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer and Information Systems Engineering from the University of Florida and a Master of Science in Information Systems Management from Marymount University. He is a member of the U.S. Army Acquisition Corps and is certified Level III in Program Management and Science and Technology Management. He is a native of Fort Lauderdale, FL. Mr. Seacord has over thirty years of service with the Department of Defense as an Army Officer and DA Civilian. His military decorations and awards include the Legion of Merit, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (3rd OLC), Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal (2nd OLC), Army Achievement Medal (2nd OLC), Army Unit Superior Award, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary (GWOTE) Medal, and Global War on Terrorism Service (GWOTS) Medal. His civilian awards include the Superior Civilian Service Award.
