March 10, 2022
"Faster Together – Accelerating the S&T Community to the Speed of Innovation" will be a crucial component of a stable and secure Pacific for the foreseeable future. We invite Pacific Operational Science & Technology (POST) attendees to contribute to that future by participating in a first-ever POST Field Experimentation, or POST FX, conducted on Thursday, March 10, 2022, at Bellows Air Force Station on Oahu.
POST 2022 brings together senior U.S. Department of Defense leaders from the Services and Agencies, senior leaders from the international Science & Technology community, industry executives and engineers, university representatives, and scientists to collaborate on how we can contribute to peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region through science and technology. The new POST FX provides an opportunity for Field Experimentation by Academia, Agency, and Industry as a critical step in the acceleration of Innovation to address expressed needs.
Targets for Innovation commonly expressed by leaders include:
- Contested logistics and operational energy
- Health security and COVID/Pandemic
- Maritime Domain Awareness (MDA) and Maritime Security
- Illegal, unreported, and unregulated fishing,
- Humanitarian Assistance Disaster Relief (HADR)
- Counter Improvised Explosive Devices (C-IED)
- Border security
