Activity Highlights

The Industry Executive Committee members participate in a variety of activities that enhance the government-industry working relationship on the local level. These activities include planning and administrative support to Commanders at Wright-Patterson AFB (WPAFB) for the multiple industry and defense related briefings and regular informal luncheons where key USAF personnel address topics of current interest.

 Industry Dialogue

HQ AFMC, AFLCMC, AFRL, NASIC, and AFSAC Directorate facilitate a number of annual meetings on WPAFB where senior industry executives join with their Air Force counterparts to discuss issues of common interest. The Industry Executive Committee works closely with Air Force leadership to identify forum topics and potential speakers and panel members, and provides administrative support to the forum proceedings.

 Life Cycle Industry Days (LCID)

Next Event – Unfortunately, AFLCMC cancelled Life Cycle Industry Days (LCID) for 2020 due to COVID-19 impacts.  However, LCID 2021 is already in the planning stages.  NDIA will play a pivotal role in the planning and execution, cast for the summer of 2021. The AFLCMC official web site for the event is https://www.aflcmc.af.mil/LCID/

Past Events - LCID 2019 was another success with over 500 attendees from government and industry (both large and small) from across the country.  The goals for last year's Life Cycle Industry Days were to continue existing and forge new relationships between government and industry senior leaders and their multifunctional teams; provide a forum to discuss near and long-term requirements; and provide an opportunity for large and small business to discuss possible partnerships. The Industry/Government panels, networking sessions and 1-on-1 meetings provided and excellent venue to achieve these goals.  NDIA played a role in achieving these goals by participating in Industry/Government pre-planning sessions and providing an Industry based prioritized topic list.  We are looking forward to playing a role in this year's LCID successes.
