The Changing International Business Environment
From a new U.S. Administration exploring new approaches to global security and alliance norms to the UK’s exit of the European Union, the global business environment facing the defense industries of Quad nations are facing an environment of increasing uncertainty and change. This panel will look ahead to discuss the decisive factors and political milestones that business leaders should focus on, prepare for and respond to.


Increasing the Effectiveness of the National Technology and Industrial Base
With the passage into law of the National Defense Authorization Act, the definition of the National Technology and Industrial Base was expanded to include Australia and the UK – all Quad countries. This panel will focus on the practical impacts for Quad defense industries, the changes that may occur around the way the U.S. Department of Defence procures products and services, as well as the roadblocks that prevent strengthening the NTIB and how they could be overcome.


Reforming Export Controls
All four Quad nations are undergoing export control changes. This panel will discuss the current status of these reforms, their practical implications and what lies ahead for international defense collaboration.
