Security Clearance Information

This event is classified at the SECRET level (SECRET//NOFORN). Attendance at the conference will be limited to United States citizens who have been granted a SECRET or higher personnel security clearance and who have the need-to-know.  Foreign persons and U.S. citizens employed by a foreign controlled company will be prohibited from attending. 

Please keep in mind, all attendees must carry a valid federal or state issued picture ID on their person at all times. Attendees may be asked to present their IDs during routine spot checks.

The security procedure for USW Spring Conference involves two essential steps: first, complete the OMB 0703-0061 form (required for individuals without a valid DOD CAC ID Card), and second, submit your clearance through DISS. Please note, these steps cannot be completed onsite and must be completed by Thursday, February 29, 2024

1. Background Form - For those who do not have a valid DOD CAC ID Card (if you have a CAC ID Card, do not complete this step)

If you do not hold a valid DOD CAC ID Card,  submit your personal information using the instruction sheet through the DBIDS Website, this is a secure DOD Website. Please ensure you follow the instructions on the instruction sheet. Once you complete the online form, you will need send the confirmation page to the POCs outlined in the instructions. The deadline to submit is Thursday, February 29, 2024.

Failure to complete the form and submit the confirmation page by the deadline will result in refusal or delayed entry to the base. Please be aware that the office where the form is processed is not situated on the base and may take up to 4 hours to receive approval.

2. Security Clearance (all attendees must complete this step)

The deadline to submit your paperwork for security clearance is Thursday, February 29, 2024. Failure to submit your clearance information in time will result in the inability to attend the conference.  

Attendees are required to submit a visitor request through DISS using the below information.

All DoD-affiliated personnel, including contractors, should send visitor requests via DISS.

For non-DoD attendees or personnel with no DISS account access, a Conference Security Certification Letter must be completed and sent on company letterhead. The Conference Security Certification Letter shall be on company letterhead and signed by the security official from the cognizant company/organization/agency and have contact information for the security official.  Additionally the following information shall be submitted on the form:

  • Full Name of Attendee (As it appears on their ID that will be used for verification)
  • Date of Birth
  • Full social security number
  • Company or Command
  • DOD ID Number (if DOD Employee
  • Clearance Level

Please note: Submitting your clearance does not register you for the conference. You must both register and submit your clearance in order to
attend.
