  • Event Type : Webinar
    Event Code : 1821

Description

NDIA’s Integrated Program Management Division (IPMD) is hosting a webinar to serve as its first gathering of the calendar year. We invite all NDIA and Affiliate members to join us for an afternoon as leaders of  Agile Development brief attendees on the plans and expectations on upcoming DoD projects.

Each speaker will provide their own individual briefing, enabling attendees to obtain the most detailed and direct information possible. You won’t want to miss the unique perspectives on program management within the defense industrial base that this webinar has to offer.

Agile development and the use of agile practices have become widely accepted across the Department of Defense and other agencies.  With varying implementations as to how to apply these techniques, understanding their intent, as well as measuring their success, is critical to understand agile principles to facilitate adapting at the speed of relevance within the DoD.  This webinar will provide a set of fundamental guidelines for ensuring agile development is addressing these issues.  The webinar will focus on what makes an agile development implementation a success. Our program includes the General Accountability Office (GAO) presenting their latest assessment guide on providing “best in class” Agile Adoption and Implementation assessment techniques.  This will be followed by NDIA’s Systems Engineering Division discussing their proposed “Product Value Measurements” which provides a scalable and flexible approach to measuring product value from stakeholder perspectives (user, acquirer, and supplier). These values are based on multiple attributes which are important to the stakeholders and associated cost of satisfying these attributes as a mechanism for prioritization. Finally, NDIA IPMD will provide its latest update of the “Agile Development and EVM Guide” showing that it meets the goal of effectively assessing agile applicability and integration with tracking performance measurement in the Earned Value Management environment.

PLEASE NOTE: This event is closed to press/media and is only open to NDIA and Affiliate members.
