Jason Knudson is founder and CEO of Vyzva Lab, a human centered design consultancy focused on driving innovation into bureaucracies where he worked digital and organizational transformation efforts with the Navy, Air Force and Army, as well as startups working with the Department of Defense. He sits on the boards of the Catalyst Campus Technology Incubator, and the Center for Technology, Research and Commercialization (C-TRAC) in Colorado Springs, CO, where he continues to work to bridge the gap between government and industry. He is also the Head of Government Relations for skyTran, a public transportation startup focused on elevated, personal vehicles and magnetic levitation technology.

  
Jason served in both enlisted and officer roles in the US Navy in submarines, cryptology, and as a Naval Special Warfare Combatant Crewman. His focus in the military was bringing innovation into the Department of Defense. In the military, he served as the Deputy Director of the SOCOM Cryptologic Office, the Chief of Staff of the Chief of Naval Operations Rapid Innovation Cell and co-founded the Naval Innovation Advisory Council and Naval Innovation Network. He was the founder of the Seventh Fleet Innovation Network, worked as a program manager at the Defense Innovation Unit working on logistics IT transformation for US Transportation Command and Global Strategic Readiness for the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff. While at DIU he founded and led the Human Centered Design practice where he provided training for and executed human centered design projects on behalf of the Navy, Air Force, Component Commands, and Joint Staff. He is active within the Defense Entrepreneurs Forum (DEF) where he served as the founder and director of DEF Far East in Japan.
