Dr. Jason Jouet is the Deputy Director, Manufacturing Technology in the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Manufacturing & Industrial Base Policy, ODASD(MIBP). He directs the technology investment portfolio of the defense-wide Manufacturing Science & Technology Program, DMS&T. This program is focused on transitioning technologies from laboratories and small businesses into capabilities that enable our warfighters by advancing the state of the art for defense-essential manufacturing for the production of defense systems. Dr. Jouet received a B.S. in chemistry from the University of Texas in 1995 and a Ph.D. in chemistry from Duke University in 2000. He has worked for the U.S. Navy for seventeen years as a Scientist, Program Manager, and Branch Supervisor with expertise in energetic materials and materials science and was awarded the Dr. Dolores M. Etter Top Scientists and Engineers of the Year in Award 2010.
