Director, Trustee, CEO, and Entrepreneur with broad strategic, operation and technology experiences in corporate, private and public boards. She is the founder and CEO of Lau Technologies, a technology development company, now a provider of debt and equity financing and consulting services to various industries. 

Professional Achievement
Joanna was named the Ernest & Young National Entrepreneur of the Year.  She is the recipient of the Massachusetts High Tech All Star Award and the New England Women Leadership Award.

Lau Technologies was named the Army Contractor Excellence Award for the work on Desert Storm, the Nunn-Perry Award for Mentor Protégé program, and the R.J. Collier Trophy for the Global Hawk Program.  Boston Business Journal named the Company one of the Top 100 Private Companies.

Business Experience
For over a decade, Lau Technologies’ Defense division delivered state of the art products to the US Army and Air Force, the division was sold to Curtiss-Wright Corporation, a NYSE company. 

Lau Technologies was the first in the World to introduce facial recognition technology into driver's license, secure document, access control and surveillance. The division went public as Viisage Technology Inc., and later merged into L1 Identity and Security Systems, now a division of BAE of the UK.
