Jim McAleese continues to be a globally respected, and preeminent, authority on the Department of Defense (DoD) budget cycle, the defense industrial base, in addition to acquisition and industrial policy.

As Principal of McAleese & Associates, P.C. he serves as an expert Defense Industry Analyst and Strategist. Mr. McAleese is regularly sought out by DoD decisions makers, on the impact budget and policy decisions might have on their programs. Mr. McAleese assists his clients on how to maximize value from the DoD budget cycle. His core focus is on strengthening relations between the DoD and the contracting community.

Mr. McAleese produces the sophisticated DoD Budget and Industry Analysis, “The McAleese Analysis", providing an intimate analysis of the Department’s top decision makers’ priorities, all budgets, hot issues, and programmatic trade-offs combined with key industry financial analysis.

Mr. McAleese founded McAleese & Associates, P.C., a consulting firm, in 1992. His vision was simple: to help organizations of all sizes understand the myriad requirements for doing business with the Federal government, and to provide legal services that would enable them to maximize value from all of those contract opportunities. Since then, Jim has dedicated his career to mastering the intricacies of the government contracting process and to maintaining credibility with various stakeholders at all levels of the Federal Government supporting their programs and helping to find remedies for troubled programs.

Mr. McAleese earned his B.A. and M.A. from Case Western Reserve University, and his J.D. and LL.M from The George Washington University.
