Description

Don't miss your chance to engage directly with SBIR Program Managers about active open SBIR solicitations!

The NDIA SBIR Topic Workshop is an annual event bringing together small business innovators and SBIR Program Managers from across the government to connect and discuss topics from the ongoing SBIR/STTR solicitation. This event is a great way for small businesses at every stage of maturity to learn directly from Federal Program Managers about how to effectively engage in the SBIR/STTR program to deliver innovative technologies to the Department of Defense and Department of Homeland Security.

This year’s event marks the 7th year of the NDIA SBIR Topic Workshop. This one day event will feature a half day of keynotes from government leadership and reviews of NAVSEA, NAVAIR, and DHS SBIR/STTR topics in the Broad Agency Announcement pre-release. The second half of the day will be devoted to one-on-one matchmaking with SBIR Program Managers

WHAT IS SBIR?
The Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program is a highly competitive program that encourages domestic small businesses to engage in Federal Research/Research and Development (R/R&D) that has the potential for commercialization. Through a competitive awards-based program, SBIR enables small businesses to explore their technological potential and provides the incentive to profit from its commercialization. By including qualified small businesses in the nation’s R&D arena, high-tech innovation is stimulated and the United States gains entrepreneurial spirit as it meets its specific research and development needs.
