NDIA and IDB Form Strategic Alliance in Defense Education

9/27/2022

The National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) and the Institute for Defense and Business (IDB) are excited to announce the establishment of a Strategic Alliance to further accelerate the NDIA Business Institute, extend IDB’s thought leadership, and expand professional development opportunities within the defense industrial base.

As respected leaders in the defense education space, this alliance stands to benefit IDB and NDIA by enabling a more aggressive and targeted approach in support of the education, training, and professional development of military and civilian leaders across defense and industry. Working together, this relationship will bring together the best thought leaders, educators, and visionaries from military, government, and the private sector to create innovative opportunities and experiences by expanding access to subject matter experts in numerous career fields.

IDB’s President, retired LtGen, USMC, Mark Faulkner stated, "I am very excited about the opportunities and outcomes that will result for both organizations from this burgeoning partnership. The education and professional development of key leaders from government and private industry has never been more important to help ensure our nation’s security. NDIA’s global reputation for promoting and advancing innovation, technology and infusing imagination in leaders is powerful and we at IDB are proud to be a part of these ongoing initiatives.”

NDIA’s newly formed Business Institute (BI) team, led by Nick Jones, NDIA’s Director of Strategy and Sandra Hubbard, BI Program Manager, will be the key players at NDIA coordinating these activities with Mike Bogdahn, Senior Client Relations Director at the IDB.

NDIA’s Executive Vice President, MG James Boozer, USA (Ret) said, “IDB’s strong education offerings and extensive network of IDB Senior Executive Fellows strengthen both organization’s education offerings and thought leadership. We welcome the opportunities we now have together to provide the training and education to prepare our defense leaders in industry and government for continued success.”
