ARLINGTON, VA – The Fisher House Foundation will receive $2,000 from the National Defense Industrial Association, stemming from a promise to donate $1 for every member response to a recent survey, the Arlington, VA-based organization announced June 9.

There were 886 respondents to a survey for feedback on strategic initiatives NDIA is considering to further drive thought leadership advancing national security and deliver innovative, forward-looking member services to its 1,700 member companies. NDIA vowed to match the contribution up to the $2,000 mark.

Fisher House Foundation is a nonprofit organization that provides lodging to families of those who are getting medical care at military and veterans medical centers worldwide. On average, each day there are 1,100 families using Fisher Houses, according to the Rockville, MD-based organization. NDIA regularly donates to Fisher House, including a weekly “jeans day” collection in which employees pay $5 to wear jeans on a Friday.
