NDIA lauds biparisan efforts that pass NDAA well before deadline
ARLINGTON, VA -- The National Defense Industrial Association congratulates both House and Senate conferees for their bipartisan efforts in finalizing the FY 2019 National Defense Authorization Act in a timely fashion. This is the first time since the FY 1997 NDAA that this critical legislation is on track to be passed and signed before the beginning of a new fiscal year.
We hope Congress uses this momentum to conference and pass the defense appropriations bill and then focus on long-term budget stability. Only that can enable the services to deliberately plan, recover readiness levels and make the necessary investments to stay ahead in an era of great power competition.
We must provide our military’s finest with the proper support they need to continue their mission to protect Americans at home while supporting U.S. security objectives abroad.
