NDIA offers complementary membership benefits to current federal government employees and members of the U.S. military (Active, Guard, and Reserve).
Complementary government memberships are consistent with ethical standards as established by the DoD Standards of Conduct Office. (See below)

NDIA has confirmed with the DoD Standards of Conducts Office (SOCO) that complementary membership is acceptable. Per SOCO’s webpage section on Gifts “Opportunities and benefits, including favorable rates and commercial discounts, available to the public or to a class consisting of all Government employees or all uniformed military personnel are not "gifts."
