Bio
Valerie L. Baldwin is Senior Vice President of Leidos Government Affairs. Based in Washington, D.C., Baldwin directs a government affairs staff of nine and is the lead advocate for Leidos on Capitol Hill.  Prior to coming to Leidos, Baldwin was Vice President of Government Affairs (Army programs).  Her 24-year career in federal service includes being the staff director of two House Appropriations Subcommittees - Homeland Security and Military Construction.  Her first job on the House Appropriations Committee was as an analyst on the VA-HUD subcommittee.  Prior to that, she was Counsel to the House Subcommittee on Housing and Urban Affairs.  She served as the Assistant Secretary of Financial Management and Comptroller, Department of Army, a presidentially-appointed, Senate-confirmed role from 2004 to 2007.

Baldwin was a federal trial attorney at the Department of Housing and Urban Development and member of the Bar of the District of Columbia.  She received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Kansas School of Law and holds a Master of Science from the London School of Economics and Political Science. Baldwin earned a Bachelor of Arts from Wichita State University, and an Associate of Arts degree from Seward County Community College in Liberal, Kansas, her hometown.  

Baldwin loves to cook and bake.  She plays golf and tennis and is the proud godmother of six amazing kids!
