Bio

Ken Masson is a Senior Director, Washington Programs, Northrop Grumman Defense Systems. Prior to this position, he served as a Senior Director, Orbital ATK (OA) Washington Operations. His portfolio spanned the Orbital ATK enterprise including all Orbital ATK defense-related products for the Navy and Department of Homeland Security.

Prior to joining ATK, Masson concluded a distinguished 22-year career with the United States Navy. During this time, he served multiple operational tours as a Naval Aviator, as a Landing Signals Officer and an extended US Army embed tour in Iraq fighting IEDs. His staff tours included Commander Carrier Air Wing EIGHT, Commander Naval Air Forces Atlantic, and Chief of Naval Operations. His last assignment was in defense acquisition as Deputy Director Business Integration, Joint Strike Fighter Program Executive Office.

Ken retired from the U.S. Navy in 2009 to accept a position at Lockheed Martin as the Senior Program Manager for Aegis Readiness. After three years in that position, he joined the Orbital ATK team.

Ken is active in the Aerospace and Defense Industry serving on multiple National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) entities. He is the Chairman of the Precision Strike Association (PSA) and an Executive Committee member of Strike Land Attack Air Defense (SLAAD) Division.

Ken holds an undergraduate degree in Economics from Skidmore College. His Master’s degree is in Business Administration from the Smith School of Business, University of Maryland. Masson is a graduate of the Defense Acquisition University and is Level-3 certified in acquisition program management.
