ALAM ANTHONY JAMAL

Mr. Alam Jamal is the Deputy Director of Intelligence at Special Operations Command Africa

Mr. Jamal leads a joint directorate, consisting of senior level intelligence officers, intelligence analysts, and data scientists.  They are responsible for delivering intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance operations and analysis for supporting US special operations on the African continent. The directorate also supports integrated and collaborative intelligence operations with US Africa Command, components, and partner forces. 

Prior to this assignment, Mr. Jamal was the Director of Intelligence & Plans at the Dept of the Air Force Rapid Capabilities Office – Field Support unit. He has completed a joint duty assignment at the Office of Director National Intelligence – serving as Chief of Staff to the National Intelligence Managers. During that assignment, he was also the DNI’s Counter-Iran Aviation Intelligence representative to the National Security Council. Mr. Jamal developed and patented technologies in advanced machine vision applications and Artificial Intelligence-enabled systems.
