Currently, Ms. Jennifer D. Pavlick is the Risk Division Director within the Risk, Analysis, Requirements, and Evidence Act Directorate under Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD) at the Department of Homeland Security.  Ms. Pavlick has been with CWMD since July 2022 and her primary focus is to provide data-driven risk-informed decision support for policy, strategy, and resource allocation from a range of Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) attacks in accordance with Homeland Security Presidential Directive-18 through the publication of the DHS CBRN Strategic Risk Assessment Summary.  In addition, Ms. Pavlick works to energize cross-CWMD needs to support current as well as emerging mission requirements to Prepare, Connect, and Transform.

Prior to joining CWMD, Ms. Pavlick was the Data Quality (DQ) Branch Chief within Office of the Chief Data Officer (OCDO) at U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).  Since the stand- up of the OCDO in 2018, Ms. Pavlick successfully launched and matured the USCIS DQ Portfolio; enabling enterprise-wide data literacy by delivering high quality immigration data that increased the integrity and credibility through proactive detection, monitoring as well as resolution. 

Ms. Pavlick began her career in 2006 as a Palace Acquire (PAQ) Intern at Robins AFB, Ga. During this time, she was an Inventory Management Specialist on the B-52 weapon system platform in Electronic Warfare; managing and maintaining accountability of over 120 active classified and unclassified items.  From there, she promoted to a Logistics Manager Specialist for Chemical Biological Radiological and Nuclear Support Equipment (CBRN SE). During this time she supported the safe deployment, sustainment, and ultimate disposal of contaminated equipment during the Japanese nuclear meltdown crisis; Operation Tomodachi.

In 2013, Ms. Pavlick was then selected for a Career Broadening Position as the Lead Logistics Management Specialist on behalf of the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Energy (SAF/IEN) in the Pentagon.  During this time, she was the AF Liaison for Process Energy, Plug-In Electric Vehicles, Vehicle-to-Grid demonstration; partnering with sister services, agencies, local/state officials as well as industry to promote “out of the box” thinking and methodology to deploy energy efficient initiatives.

In 2016, Ms. Pavlick promoted into the Air Force Strategic Planning and Advocacy Branch Lead within the Logistics Chief Information Officer (CIO) Support Division, Directorate of Resource Integration, Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics, Engineering and Force Protection (AF/A4P), Headquarters U.S. Air Force, Washington, D.C. Ms. Pavlick supported the $2B portfolio by lead the Data, Enterprise Architecture, Technology Strategy, and Communication Teams to deploy innovative logistics technology concepts and initiatives across the full spectrum of the Air Force enterprise.
