Bio
Chris Benton leads the International Weapons Programs for Boeing Defense, Space, & Security’s found within the Space, Intelligence & Weapons Division. In this role, he oversees the execution and new business activities of the International Programs that are a part of The Boeing Company’s Precision Engagement Systems (PES) division which includes Direct Attack, Cruise Missile Systems, and Laser & Electro-Optical solutions. This global, diverse portfolio contains products such as Joint Direct Attack Munition (JDAM), Small Diameter Bomb (SDB), Harpoon, and Standoff Land Attack Missile Expanded Response (SLAM-ER) among others. Benton’s portfolio contains customers in 43 countries and he is responsible for the business strategy, execution, and growth. 

Prior to taking this role, Benton was the Senior Manager for International New Business within Direct Attack where he was responsible for managing relationships with over 40 international customers and solving unique customer needs with programmatic solutions.
 
Benton joined the Direct Attack Weapons team in 2012 and served as the Contracts Manager from 2016 until his promotion to lead the International New Business Team in 2019. During which time he was responsible for driving change and finding creative contractual solutions for multi-year Weapons procurements with the United States Air Force (USAF) and United States Navy (USN) in addition to his work with the 40 international customers. 

Additionally, prior to joining Weapons, Benton lead multiple F/A-18 Super Hornet International campaigns and began his career in Boeing’s Training Systems division with roles focused in Finance and Acquisition. 
Benton has been with The Boeing Company for over 20 years and holds degrees in Marketing and Accounting from Saint Louis University.
