Bio
Dr. Ravi Ravichandran is Vice President, Chief Technology Officer, for the Intelligence & Security (I&S) sector of BAE Systems, Inc. I&S is comprised of 6.400 employees across the United States and abroad with annual revenues of $1.6 billion. The business provides large-scale systems engineering, integration, and sustainment services across space air, land, surface, sub-surface, and cyber domains for the U.S. Department of Defense, intelligence community, federal civilian agencies, and troops deployed around the world. As CTO, he drives the development, integration, and transition of next-generation solutions that advance the company’s current programs and future technology pursuits.

 

Ravi has more than 25 years of experience focused on technology innovation, prototype development, and product transition to franchise programs and has led technology and collaboration initiatives across BAE Systems Inc. and plc. Prior to I&S, he was with BAE Systems Electronic Systems, where he worked on a number of critical product and research programs.

 

Ravi’s work has been granted patents, and been featured in books and academic journals. He has received many awards from BAE Systems, Inc., and was selected as Electronics Systems - Technology Solutions Entrepreneur of the Year in 2012.

 

Ravi holds a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and Masters and Doctoral degrees in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He also serves on the Electrical, Computer, and Systems Engineering Department Advisory Council at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, NY and on the Board of Trustees at Gordon College, Wenham, MA.
