Bio
Jess Key has been with Electric Boat since 2015 and currently serves as the Manager of Supplier and Workforce Development. In this role, Jess is focused on scaling and replicating the unique success of Electric Boat’s manufacturing pipeline initiative programs as well as youth and community education in support of the Submarine Industrial Base. Jess’ team currently leads strategy deployment for over 20 adult pipeline program as well as adult and youth education programs aimed at attracting the next generation of shipbuilders to careers in manufacturing trades. 

Previous to this her current role, Jess worked to establish the Supply Chain Risk Program within General Dynamics Electric Boat’s Supply Chain Organization. She led a team responsible for supply chain assessment, risk program design and administration, supplier data source development, data analytics & visualization, and risk mitigation planning. Jess and her team designed a supply chain assessment process at Electric Boat which has been recognized as an industry leading practice. 

Jess has held various positions within EB’s Supply Chain organization and is passionate about playing a part in returning the Submarine Industrial Base to the resilience of the past.
Jess earned her Master’s of Business Administration from the University of Florida. She also holds two undergraduate degrees from the University of South Florida.
