Bio

Chris is responsible for all aspects of the military engine businesses that make up Pratt and Whitney’s Fighter and Mobility Programs portfolio.  He and his team are charged with meeting the expectations and obligations of Pratt and Whitney’s customers, employees, and shareholders for:

  • F100 engine, powering the F-15 and F-16
  • F119 engine, powering the F-22
  • F117 engine, powering the C-17
  • PW4062 engine, powering the KC-46 Tanker
  • TF33 engine, powering the B-52
  • PW800 offering for the B-52 commercial engine replacement program (CERP)
  • Auxiliary power and turbojets (military APUs and turbojet engines)
  • Military rotorcraft power (Future Vertical Lift, ATEC joint venture)
  • Rocket propulsion (RD-180 and the RD-AMROSS joint venture)

In his previous role, Chris held executive responsibility for a portion of the fighter and mobility portfolio.  Prior to that, he led maintenance service programs for Pratt & Whitney’s commercial engine aftermarket business, with responsibility for performance and profitability on 100+ engine repair and overhaul service contracts with airline and leasing customers. 

Chris came to Raytheon Technologies from the management consulting firm McKinsey and Company, where he was an Associate Partner in Philadelphia.  At McKinsey, Chris focused on strategy, product and service innovation, and cost improvement.  He served Fortune 100 clients across a range of industrial sectors, including chemicals, materials, and aerospace and defense. 

Chris began his professional career with The Boeing Company as a helicopter control systems and flying qualities engineer.  He supported the V-22 Osprey, RAH-66 Comanche, and CH-46 Chinook rotorcraft programs.

Chris holds an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and two mechanical engineering degrees:  a Master’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor’s degree from Princeton University.  He lives outside Hartford, CT with his wife Sarah and four daughters.
