Bio
Tiarra Barton is the Founder and CEO of Aaceses Ihmire Industries. She started Aaceses Ihmire Industries in 2013. She leverages 10 years of engineering and project management experience. She is a Certified Aerospace AS9100 Lead Auditor. She has dedicated her career to developing new sustainable technologies to help improve the human condition as well as the world around us. She believes that continuous innovation of new ideas and technologies is the key to success as well as the longevity and preservation of the world we live in. Prior to starting Aaceses Ihmire Industries, Tiarra worked as an Electrical Engineering Project Coordinator for AEP (EASI Engineering) where her role was to lead small substation projects and implement project management activities. After leaving AEP (EASI Engineering), she began a new position within the automotive industry at Sumitomo Electric Wiring Systems as a Design Engineer in the Research and Development department as the project lead on various projects. She has also work/served as a "Subject Matter Expert" on panel review boards for the NASA Research and Education Support Services (NRESS) for STEM engagement, NASA Science Mission Directorates as well as the NASA Innovative Advanced Concepts (NAIC): Space Technology Mission Directorate for Robotics/ISRU/Aeronautics Panel.

Tiarra holds an Associate of Applied Science in Electronics Engineering Technology from Columbus State Community College as well as a Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering Technology from DeVry University. She holds a Master of Project Management from Keller Graduate School as well as a Master of Science in Unmanned Aerospace Systems specializing in Aeronautics and Design from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and a Master's in Systems Engineering from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Tiarra is currently working on her Ph.D. in Quantum Computing at Capitol Technology University. She is a certified Commercial UAS Pilot and Private Airplane Pilot.

She is a member of the International Council of Systems Engineering, BWISE-Chicago (Black Women in Science & Engineering), National Society of Black Engineers, The U.S
Woman's Chamber of Commerce, IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers), the Central Ohio African American Chamber of Commerce and the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics. She is a member of the Space and Missiles Group, Aerospace Model-Based Engineering committee, Wire and Cable committee, Avionics Networks committee, Avionic Subsystem committee, Joint Architecture for Unmanned Systems committee, Unmanned Systems Control segment Architecture committee, Unmanned Aircraft Systems Operator Qualifications committee, Artificial Intelligence in Aviation committee and Aircraft and Systems Development and Safety Assessment committee for SAE International.
