Joe North serves as the vice president of Enterprise Performance on the Corporate Operations staff.  In this capacity, Joe operates across the corporation to assure all programs are performing and provide support to those that are not. Joe also has the Program Planning & Integration (PP&I) function as well as supporting the program CAM’s. This position allows for coordination across all of the Business Areas allowing for common tools, processes and Best Practice implementation. Mr. North is an experienced executive with business, operations, program and financial management experience as well as, a proven record of leading organizations and business operations through meaningful change.

Joe’s previous assignment was the JADO ESC Chair and the AUKUS Strategy Lead, for Global Business Development and Strategy in EOS.  Previous to that, Joe was the Chief Executive for Lockheed Martin Australia & New Zealand through November 2022.  He was responsible for the LM Brand, strategic planning, maintaining our political interface and the operational oversight of all business, partnerships, key relationships, and philanthropy. In this capacity, Joe was the LM face to the customer and maintained the executive relationships at the Defence, Federal and State Government levels. 

Mr. North has been with Lockheed Martin for over 35 years and has provided an environment of innovation and entrepreneurship for employees across multiple lines of business and worked large contracts that required interfacing and teaming across the Business Areas.  Prior to his Australian assignment, Joe was the executive lead of the LCS program for 15 years from capture to execution. Previous programs and experience with LM include the domestic and international Aegis Programs, GM of LM Baltimore which included the Vertical Launch System and Ship Systems machinery control systems.

From an international level, Mr. North spent four years in Australia (2017-2021) noted above, and five years in Japan (1994-1998) on the Japanese Defence Aegis Destroyer Program as the production and integration manager for the ship’s combat system.

Mr. North received a Bachelor of Science degree in Bio-medical engineering from the Catholic University of America.

Mr. North, along with his wife Megan currently reside in Falls Church, Virginia. He has a son and daughter both residing in the USA.
