Bio
Matt Milas is president, Defense and Space for Honeywell Aerospace. He is responsible for a broad portfolio including electronic solutions, engines and power systems, mechanical systems, digital connected and software solutions, microelectronics, satellite systems, human space and launch vehicles for U.S. and international defense and space customers.

Matt has 20 years of leadership experience in the aerospace industry. Most recently, Matt was vice president of operations for the Space and Airborne Systems (SAS) segment at L3Harris Technologies. The operations function included manufacturing, quality, supply chain, environmental health and safety, continuous improvement, facilities, and functional productivity across more than 4,000 global SAS Operations employees and 15 manufacturing facilities. His responsibilities also included building a strong performance culture, and attracting, developing, and training the key talent needed to continue to meet and exceed customer commitments.

Prior to that, Matt held roles as vice president general manager of the defense aftermarket business at Raytheon Technologies –Collins Aerospace and Executive Director of 787 program management at Spirit Aerosystems.

Matt has a bachelor's degree in industrial and operations engineering from the University of Michigan. He received his master’s degree in international economics and development from Eastern Michigan University.

Matt is a student of continuous learning and professional development with a lean six sigma Black Belt and accreditations in Program Management, Capture Management, Competitive Intelligence, and Supply Chain Management.
