Bio

Dr. Jeremy Walker is the Senior Director of Science & Technology for Teledyne FLIR Defense. Jeremy received his B.S. in Chemistry from Colgate University in 2001 and his Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Pittsburgh in 2006. Jeremy studied protein-polymer sensing materials, nanoparticles and photonics, and integrated smart materials for detection of toxic nerve agents and clinical analytes. Jeremy has been with Teledyne FLIR since acquisition of Agentase, LLC in 2006. Jeremy has been Senior Research Scientist, Site Operations Manager, and Detection S&T Business Development lead for FLIR’s entire chemical, biological, radiological/nuclear and explosives (CBRNE) Detection business. Dr. Walker was promoted to Senior Director of S&T for the Teledyne Defense business unit in 2022. His cross-site team develops very early-stage technology platforms. His primary focus is on innovation and working with academic and industrial partners to bring cutting edge technologies to DoD Programs of Record and commercial CBRN markets. Jeremy has led the capture of over $300M in research, development and acquisition contracts in the past fifteen. He has been funded by Army Research Office, DTRA-JSTO, JPEO-CBRND, DARPA, AFRL, and DHS over the course of his career. He is responsible for company strategy on next-generation sensing solutions and artificial intelligence. Jeremy is a native of Saltsburg, PA and enjoys fly fishing, traveling, reading, and attending Pittsburgh sporting events in his spare time.
