Bio

Tony Garcia is a contractor and Military Operations Analyst with Systems Planning and Analysis supporting multiple clients within the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Research and Engineering, including the Strategic Intelligence and Analysis Cell (SIAC). His team’s work for SIAC focuses on providing USD(R&E) with net technical assessments that integrate military operations techniques, known and forecast technology trends, and intelligence community assessments to inform U.S. Department of Defense research and development investments.

He also currently supports the Joint Hypersonics Transitions Office, the Joint Munitions Portfolio, U.S. Indo-Pacific Command, and the Australian Defence Force. Previous analysis and program management support clients include the Strategic Capabilities Office, the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, the Office of the Chief of Naval Operations, and the Office of the Secretary of Defense.

Mr. Garcia graduated from San Diego State University in 2004 with a degree in International Security and Conflict Resolution and was commissioned into the United States Navy. He served as an H-60 helicopter pilot and flight instructor from 2004 to 2016, and served as a staff officer with U.S. Naval Forces Central Command / U.S. FIFTH Fleet, Task Force 51 / 5th Marine Expeditionary Brigade, NATO Allied Command Transformation, and OPNAV Operations and Plans.
