Colonel Santee B. Vasquez assumed command of Crane Army Ammunition Activity on July 13, 2021.

Col. Vasquez received a Bachelor of Arts in international relations from the University of California, Davis, and was commissioned through the Army Reserve Officers’ Training Corps in 1998. She received a Master of Arts in statecraft and national security affairs from the Institute of World Politics, Washington, D.C., in 2009, and a Master of Science in strategic studies from the U.S. Army Senior Service College, Carlisle, Pennsylvania, in 2019.

Her military education includes the Quartermaster Officer Basic Course, Combined Logistics Captains Career Course, Combined Arms Service Staff School, Senior Staff College, and the Pathfinder and Air Assault Schools.

Since joining the Army, Col. Vasquez has held a number of leadership roles, ranging from Platoon Leader, and Battalion S4 Officer; Brigade Adjutant, Company Commander; Assistant Support Operations Officer; Small Group Instructor; Supply and Services Officer; Brigade S4 Logistics Operations Officer and Brigade Support Battalion Commander; and, Chief of Staff for the U.S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command.

Col. Vasquez’ awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, Defense Meritorious Service Medal (with one oak leaf cluster), Army Meritorious Service Medal (with three oak leaf clusters), Army Commendation Medal (with three oak leaf clusters), Army Achievement Medal, Joint Meritorious Unit Commendation, National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Afghanistan Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary and Service Medals, Korean Defense Service Medal, and Pathfinder and Air Assault Badges.
