Bob Kavetsky is CEO and President of the Energetics Technology Center, a non-profit research and development organization. ETC provides engineering and data analytics services, policy development, and technology development to the government, academia, and private industry. Prior to founding ETC, he spent 32 years as an engineer in the Department of the Navy, building and operating hypersonic wind tunnels, as well as developing undersea weapons. Bob was appointed the first Warfare Center Liaison to the Office of Naval Research where he established the N-STAR program, a Navy-wide effort aimed at reinvigorating the science and technology community within the Navy’s Warfare Centers. Bob has co-authored 11 books on a wide variety of national defense-oriented topics. He is a graduate of Catholic University, where he obtained B.S. and M.S. degrees in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Science degree in Engineering Administration. Bob’s volunteer activities include serving as the Chair of the Board of Visitors for the Catholic University School of Engineering, as Chairman of the Board for the Let’s Go Boys and Girls organization, and a Board member for the Discovery Center at Water’s Edge organization.
