Brian Athmer is the Chief Technology Officer for Navistar Defense, leading Product Development and Engineering for all new programs at the company. Working closely with Business Development, Brian provides leadership to Navistar Defense’s capture efforts for strategic programs. Additionally, he leads Internal and programmatic technological advancement initiatives in areas including Vehicle Electrification, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), Prognostics & Predictive Maintenance Telematics (PPMx), and Autonomy. Brian has worked in the defense and commercial vehicle market for more than 14 years. Prior to this position, Brian served as the Director of Engineering & Continuous Improvement. He has also held various positions throughout Navistar Inc. and Navistar Defense in Engineering, Program Management, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing. Brian holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from Michigan State University and a Masters in Engineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
