Eric Herzberg is a Fellow Emeritus for LMI Corporation, a non-profit company that provides consulting services primarily to the Department of Defense and Homeland Security. He is a 1982 graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, with a BS in Mathematics and earned an MBA from Clemson University in 1992.

He is an expert on the costs and readiness impacts of maintenance and corrosion on Department of Defense (DoD) weapon systems and infrastructure and with his team, are the creators of the DoD Maintenance and Availability Data Warehouse (MADW). The MADW, currently being integrated within Advana, is the data engine used to populate the DoD Sustainment dashboard, MADW web interface and other decision support tools.

As well, Mr. Herzberg is one of the primary authors of the soon to be released DoDI 3110.05 – an instruction that establishes standard enterprise level metrics to measure effectiveness and efficiency success outcomes for every weapon system in the DoD.
