Eric Fletcher became the Deputy Project Manager for PM Transportation systems in May 2016. He previously served as the APEO for Business Management and Acting Deputy Program Executive Officer for Combat Support & Combat Service Support (PEO CS&CSS), beginning in September 2013, after concluding a successful tenure as Project Manager, Force Projection. His responsibilities include leadership and oversight of a multi-billion dollar annual program portfolio for tactical vehicles, Army Watercraft and associated equipment.

 

COL(R) Eric Fletcher was commissioned in the Infantry upon graduation from Western Illinois University in 1987.  He served as an Infantry Platoon Leader, Anti – Armor Platoon Leader, and Company Executive Officer in 2-30th Infantry, 3rd Infantry Division, Schweinfurt, Germany.  He later served as an Assistant Brigade S-1 and commanded Delta Company and Headquarters and Headquarters Company 3rd Battalion, 327th Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division, Fort Campbell, Kentucky.

 

Later, he served as Chief of the Small Arms Division in the Directorate of Combat Developments, Fort Benning, Georgia.  He then transitioned to the Assistant Product Manager for the Bradley TOW Subsystem and later as an Assistant Project Manager for Javelin, Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama.  While assigned to the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Acquisition, Logistics and Technology (ASA (ALT)), Pentagon, COL (R) Fletcher served initially as a Department of the Army Systems Coordinator for Hellfire.  He then deployed to Operation Iraqi Freedom and served as a Product Manager for the Project Management Office in the Coalition Provisional Authority. He then served as Department of the Army Systems Coordinator for the Army’s Future Combat Systems. He assumed command as the Product Manager for Small and Medium Caliber Ammunition.  He formerly served as the Military Deputy for the U.S. Army Tank Automotive Research, Development and Engineering Center (TARDEC). Then, COL(R) Fletcher served as the Army’s Project Manager Force Projection within the Program Executive Officer for Combat Support and Combat Service Support (PEO CS&CSS).

 

COL(R) Fletcher is a graduate of the Infantry Officer Basic and Advanced Courses, Combined Arms and Service Staff School, the Army Command and General Staff College, and US Army War College. He received Masters Degrees from the Florida Institute of Technology and US Army War College.

 

COL(R) Fletcher’s awards and decorations include the Ranger Tab, Parachutist Badge, Air Assault Badge, and Expert Infantryman’s Badge, Legion of Merit, Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal (5 OLC), the Army Commendation Medal (2 OLC), the Army Achievement Medal (3 OLC), Army Staff Badge and the Superior Civilian Service Award .
