24th Annual Systems and Mission Engineering Conference
The 24th Annual Systems and Mission Engineering Annual Conference in conjunction with the Department of Defense will convene on October 4 - 7, 2021, in Orlando, Florida. NDIA is exploring hybrid options at this time and will have additional information once it becomes available.
The conference will focus on Systems and Mission Engineering Transformation and Modernization to improve defense program acquisition and system performance to include concepts such as: digital engineering, modeling, product line engineering, iterative development methods, new risk models to ensure system survivability and cyber resiliency and shifting test earlier in the system development lifecycle.
The NDIA Systems Engineering Division with co-sponsorship from the NDIA Test & Evaluation Division and NDIA Integrated Program Management Division hosts the conference with support from the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering (OUSD (R&E)), IEEE Aerospace and Electronic Systems Society, IEEE Systems Council and the International Council on Systems Engineering.

- Connect - Network with Program Managers, System Engineers, Chief Scientists and Engineers, and Managers from the Requirements, Design, Verification, Test, Support, and Logistics communities from both domestic and international government and industry leaders.
- Learning Opportunities - In addition to the plenary sessions, the 2021 conference will offer days of concurrent sessions with diverse industry and government leaders and subject matter expert presenters.

Currently, the 24th Systems and Mission Engineering Conference is scheduled to occur as published. The health and safety of our event participants, members, and partners remain our top priority. We are committed to following the guidelines and precautions as outlined by the CDC.
NDIA is fully prepared to adjust any and all plans if the situation changes. We are following—and will remain in compliance with—all city, state, and federal guidelines. If the direction from federal, state, or local official public health authorities changes, we will adhere to the new guidance, act upon it immediately, and update everyone. We are fully prepared to adjust our plans as needed.
