Abstracts

Overview

The National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) welcomes your abstract submission for technical presentations and posters at the 2020 Joint Armaments and Robotics Conference at the Columbus Convention & Trade Center, in Columbus, GA.

The Armaments Division and Robotics Division are conducting two separate call for abstracts. Please find specific requirements below.

Deadline for submissions: November 27, 2019

Armaments - Abstract Requirements

  • Abstracts must be unclassified and cleared for public release. Do not submit an abstract that contains Distribution D, unclassified export-controlled data.
  • Abstracts should fall into one of the following conference tracks: Small Arms, Guns Ammunition Rockets and Missiles, or Unconventional and Emerging Armaments Systems.
  • Posters submissions should outline details of the proposed poster concerning ongoing or completed work. Poster presentations are an effective approach to exchange program and technology information.
  • Presentation submissions should focus on completed work that demonstrate high impact results for the community and address key armament system and related technology initiative including:
  • Armament Modernization, Readiness, Threat Response Overmatch
  • Armament Systems which Provide Joint Lethality in Contested Environments
  • Armament Systems Initiatives of the US Army, USAF, U.S. Navy, USMC, and DARPA
  • Legacy System Enhancements and Readiness to Build a more Lethal Force
  • Platform Integration (Land, Sea, Air, Manned and Autonomous)
  • Armament System Manufacturing and Readiness
  • Armament System Logistics and Maintenance
  • Armament System Training Systems
  • International Participation from Allies and Partners

 Robotics - Abstract Requirements

  • Abstracts must be unclassified and cleared for public release. Do not submit an abstract that contains Distribution D, unclassified export-controlled data.
  • Posters submissions should outline details of the proposed poster concerning ongoing or completed work. Poster presentations are an effective approach to exchange program and technology information.
  • Presentation submissions should focus on completed work that demonstrate high impact results for the community and address key robotics and autonomous systems and related technology initiatives specific to the following topics:
  • Robotic Combat Vehicle Autonomy
  • Robotic Combat Vehicle Armament
  • Robotics at the Squad Level- Integrated Swarming Small UAS, UGV
  • Squad A.I.- Automated Situational Awareness Tech, Tools and Decision-Making Aids
  • Robotics Systems which Provide Joint Lethality in Contested Environments
  • Robotics Systems Initiatives of the US Army, USAF, U.S. Navy, USMC, and DARPA
  • Platform Integration (Land, Sea, Air, Manned and Autonomous)
  • Robotics System Manufacturing and Readiness
  • Robotics System Logistics and Maintenance
  • Robotic Training Systems
  • International Participation from Allies and Partners

An automated confirmation will be sent upon submission. Notifications will be sent electronically in early January 2020.

Please note: Submitting an abstract is a professional commitment. If the abstract is accepted, the Author commits to attend the event. If an Author is unable to attend the conference, then it is incumbent upon him or her to find a substitute. Authors are responsible for obtaining appropriate public release for their presentations.
