Bio
Al Tahn is vice president of Governance, Risk and Compliance for Global Business Services at Raytheon. Raytheon Company (NYSE: RTN), with 2018 sales of $27 billion and 67,000 employees, is a global technology and innovation leader specializing in defense, civil government and cybersecurity solutions. Raytheon is headquartered in Waltham, Massachusetts.

Tahn leads the governance, risk and compliance teams in Global Business Services and Information Technology to provide best in class risk management and internal controls assurance for the business. Tahn is responsible for establishing effective governance frameworks, advancing risk management capabilities, ensuring compliance to laws and regulations, leading information governance and privacy operations, maturing emergency preparedness for information continuity and business resiliency, facilitating and executing compliant global cross-border material movements, and instituting policies and processes for internal control excellence.
 
Tahn joined Raytheon in 2004 from Fidelity Investments, where he was the senior vice president of Information Technology. He has extensive experience in the financial services industry, and held prior leadership positions with Bankers Trust Company, Union Bank of Switzerland, UBS Securities, and Drexel Burnham Lambert.

Tahn earned his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Duke University in Durham, NC and his Juris Doctorate (JD) from Yeshiva University in New York, NY.

He is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) and Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC).
