NDIA Offers Recommendations to SASC on the FY 2025 NDAA

(Arlington, VA) NDIA thanks Members of the Senate and House Armed Services committees for their efforts on the fiscal year (FY) 2025 National Defense Authorization Act and offers recommendations in three key areas. NDIA supports changes to the Truth in Negotiations Act and other procurement reforms but opposes sections that would complicate and slow down negotiations. NDIA supports efforts to reduce reliance on Chinese-dominated supply chains but urges a careful approach. NDIA also highlights the importance of protecting IP and data rights while advancing digital modernization within the Department of Defense. NDIA President and CEO David Norquist sent a letter to the Senate and House Armed Services committees outlining the recommendations in three strategic pillars, which are foundational for building a modern, diverse, and resilient U.S. defense industrial base.
