Fisher House Foundation

Since 2017, the NDIA Staff has raised over $4,000 in donations to the Fisher House Foundation. Given our ongoing support of the warfighter, we are honored to contribute regularly to the Fisher House Foundation’s mission of assisting military families.

Full Circle Home

In November 2019, NDIA again welcomed Full Circle Home—a non-profit organization that coordinates with volunteers to connect deployed military on the battlefront with their loved ones on the homefront through notes and tokens of appreciation. During our Full Circle Home Volunteer Days, NDIA Staff runs an assembly line-style production in order to get hundreds of gifts boxed to be sent all around the country. Though the gifts boxed in November are geared towards the winter holidays, the gifts wrapped by NDIA in the Spring are special to Mother’s Day. In this way, Full Circle Home and its wide array of volunteers make sure that all “Heroes at Home” are reminded that their servicemen and women abroad are thinking about them and wishing them a happy holiday. We are thrilled to form and foster this ongoing relationship with such an important and hardworking organization.

 Boulder Crest   Boulder Crest Retreat

In August 2019, NDIA Staff traveled to Boulder Crest Retreat (BCR) to volunteer their time and energy in support of BCR’s mission: provide free and meaningful retreats for combat veterans and their families so that they can reconnect with one another in a relaxing environment. Behind the scenes of the incredible work that BCR does to offer a high-class and high-impact experience for its visitors, volunteers like us weed garden beds, clear horse paddocks, prepare wooden furniture for resurfacing, and—perhaps most importantly—learn about the need for such organizations like BCR. Given NDIA’s ongoing dedication to our warfighters at home and abroad, we were honored to engage with BCR and contribute to its service-oriented mission.

We are always looking for additional and different ways of engaging with our local and regional communities. If you have an idea of how NDIA could do so, please email us at EC-Leaders@NDIA.org
