Introduction

Make plans now to join over 300 other learning/education/training professionals from DoD, government, industry, and academia for the 9th Annual ADL ImplementationFest from 18-20 August at the Rosen Centre Hotel in Orlando, Florida.

ImplementationFest 2009 will address the newest capabilities for supporting the distributed learning needs of warfighters and discuss the distributed learning activities of numerous DoD organizations.

The keynote speakers, panels, and break-out sessions provide an in-depth look at the military's distributed learning programs.  Presentations also highlight the significant challenges facing our military around the globe and how to more efficiently provide distributed learning to warfighters anytime and anywhere.

ImplementationFest is DoD's premier event for the Advanced Distributed Learning (ADL) community.  The Orlando-based Joint ADL Co-Laboratory (JADL) hosts ImplementationFest in cooperation with the National Training and Simulation Association (NTSA).  It is a unique gathering of military, government, industry, and academic learning/education/training professionals focused on a range of topics including modeling and simulation, game-based training, virtual worlds, the Sharable Content Object Reference model (SCORM), the ADL-Registry, S1000D, and more!

The Advanced Distributing Learning Initiative was established in 1997 to standardize and modernize the delivery of training and education across DoD and other federal agencies.  It is a collaborative effort to harness the power of information technologies to deliver high-quality, easily accessible, adaptable, and cost-effective education and training.  More information on ADL can be found at http://www.adlnet.gov
