Introduction
NDIA knows Warfighter needs are changing, and so does the Department of Defense. The DoD has a vision of establishing an integrated manned/unmanned force that strengthens our frontline. With plans of further investment in fielding new warfighter technologies, it’s more important than ever for industry leaders and service-users to share one stage, in order to discuss these emerging trends.
The purpose of the 2012 Ground Robotics Capabilities Conference & Exhibition is to provide a forum for Industry and Government to have an honest dialogue for identifying the technologies that will be able to meet the future needs of the Warfighter.
The Department of Defense recently published its Ground Robotics Vision of establishing an integrated manned/unmanned force that strengthens the United States as the world’s preeminent land power. To achieve this vision, there are four main goals that need to be achieved:
- Focused Technology
- Balanced Requirements
- A Compelling Return on Investment
- Streamlined Acquisition
With support from the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Joint Ground Robotics Enterprise, NDIA has put together a conference that will feature distinguished speakers and panels of subject matter experts to engage in point-counterpoint debates to answer the question of “what will it take to achieve the vision?”
Click here to watch the 2011 Conference video; you'll hear first-hand from last year's attendees and exhibitors as to why this is a must attend event.
