Introduction

The 2011 Homeland Security Symposium will present an overview of the ongoing challenges associated with large-scale disasters (and their various forms) and the risks, strategies and investments necessary to address these ever-evolving and dynamic threats, including topics such as:

  • Preventing and Responding to the Worst – Bio, Chemical and Nuclear Security
  • Unpredictable Wrath – The Forces of Mother Nature
  • Responding and Adapting – Domestic Threats, Extremism and Counterterrorism

A block of rooms has been reserved at the Sheraton National Hotel.  To make your reservation, please call the hotel directly at (703) 521-1900 or click here.  In order to ensure the discounted NDIA rate, you must make your reservations early and ask for the "NDIA" room block.  Rooms will not be held after Friday, September 9, 2011 and may sell out before then.  Rates are also subject to increase after this date.

REMINDER
Please register with a complete and accurate e-mail address.  You will receive an e-mailed confirmation as soon as your registration has been processed.

Payment must be made at the time of registration.  Registrations will not be taken over the phone.

Please register with the correct form of payment.  A $25 fee will be applied to those wishing to switch forms of payment.

CANCELLATION POLICY
Cancellations received by Friday, September 16, 2011 will receive a refund minus a $75 cancellation fee.  No refunds will be given for cancellations received after Friday, September 16, 2011. Cancellations must be made in writing to bmurray@ndia.org. Substitutions to this event are welcome in lieu of cancellations.

Appropriate dress for the meeting is business for civilians and Class A uniform or uniform of the day for military personnel.

ID Badge
During symposium registration and check-in, each Attendee will be issued an identification badge.  Please be prepared to present a valid picture ID.  Your badge must be worn at all conference functions.
 
Proceedings
Proceedings will be available on the web through the Defense Technical Information Center (DTIC) two weeks after the conference.  All registered Attendees will receive an email notification once the proceedings are available.
