The upcoming Technical Exchange on AIS via Satellite "TEXAS IV" will be the fourth  international symposium, organized by the US National Maritime Domain Awareness Coordination Office (NMCO) and the United States Coast Guard focused on an exchange of information between providers and users of satellite AIS (S-AIS).

This symposium will afford an overview of the international state-of-the-art of S-AIS, both its collection and processing via space systems as well as its utility in empowering other systems, especially earth observation systems engaged in maritime surveillance.

Subjects covered will range from collection systems to frequency management issues to its success in changing collection and data processing routines for other space systems.
