Introduction

International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) – How does this apply to Small Businesses?

Performing work outside the continental U.S. (OCONUS) requires a thorough understanding of many different regulations. Speakers at this small business breakfast will provide attendees insight and practical application of the ITAR including: what items apply, how to protect information when performing projects in foreign countries, and what resources are available to ensure ITAR compliance.

ITAR dictates that information and material pertaining to defense and military related technologies may only be shared with US Persons. Heavy fines can be (and are) levied on US Person (including organizations), if they have, without authorization or the use of an exemption, provided foreign (non-US) persons with access to ITAR-protected defense articles, services or technical data.  Learn about ITAR so your company can be protected!
