Introduction
This conference brings together the managers and professionals involved in Acquisition Management, Systems Engineering, Program Management, Software Development, Process Improvement, Six Sigma, and related activities for the purpose of advancing the state-of-the-art in process improvement and achieving a higher state of process capability in engineering development in order to reduce cost, schedule, risk, and improve overall quality.
Who Should Attend? Participating organizations are defense, aerospace and commercial companies, CMMI Transition Partners, Department of Defense organizations, small companies specializing in software and systems engineering development, tools and processes, and other government agences.
Agenda
The primary objective of this conference is to share experiences and lessons learned in implementing CMMI, in the new state-of-the-art in Process Improvement. Technical and management presentations are the key tactic in achieving the goal. You are invited to submit short abstracts of approximately 250 to 300 words describing what you would like to present, relative to the topics listed in the Call for Papers document. Presentations on directly related subjects are also welcome. Abstracts should fully describe the planned content and not the relationship to the conference objectives. All abstracts accepted will be presented at the conference in electronic (PowerPoint) format. The abstracts will also be posted on the NDIA website prior to the conference.

Directions:
From Denver International Airport (24 Miles): Exit airport on Pena Boulevard South to I-70 West. Continue on I-70 to I-225 South. Exit 2A (Tamarac/DTC Boulevard) and turn left. Go under Interstate, turn right on Tufts Avenue. Hyatt Regency Denver Tech Center is at the end of the street.
Parking:
Valet Parking: $18.00 per day, including in/out privileges
Self-Parking: $5.00 for the first two hours of your visit, $1.00 each additional hour. Maximum charge is $10.00 per day.
Please note, all valet parking is outside. Self-parking is in the covered garage, with a maximum garage clearance is 8’ 2”.
Lodging
A block of rooms has been reserved at the Hyatt Regency Denver Tech Center. To make your reservation, please call the hotel directly. In order to ensure the discounted NDIA rate, you must make your reservations early and ask for the "NDIA - CMMI Conference" room block. Rooms will not be held after October 27, 2009 and may sell out before then. Rates are also subject to increase after this date.

Tutorials Tutorial sessions will be available Monday, November 17, 2009 beginning at 9:00 a.m.
There is a separate fee for the tutorial session of $250 if you register before November 6, 2009. You may register for the tutorial session onsite after November 6, 2009 for a fee of $275.
Cancellation Policy Cancellations received from by November 6, 2009 will receive a refund minus a cancellation fee of $75.00. Refunds will not be given for cancellations received after November 6, 2009. All cancellations must be made in writing to kseymour@ndia.org.
Substitutions Substitutions are welcome in lieu of cancellations. Substitutions must be made in writing to kseymour@ndia.org.

Display Information

An area will be available for the setup of company or organization displays to demonstrate your company or organization's unique tools or capabilities. The registration fee of $1,500 includes one individual registration, table, chair, and electrical hook-up. Displays will be tabletop or "pop-up" style. Allocated display space will be 10 ft. wide by 6 ft. deep. Although computer systems for demonstration are ok, minimal harware should be utilized. No formal decorating company will be involved. Companies must bring their own set-up. Standard draped folding table and chair will be provided for each display space.
You may begin setup of your display at 7:00 am on November 16. Displays must be completely setup by 4:00 pm on November 16, and shall remain in place until the afternoon break on November 19. Displays must be removed by 5:00 pm November 19. Displays should be manned for all continental breakfasts, breaks, and receptions.
