Carla Mazique is a Human Resources executive with over 30 years of experience spanning the private and non-profit sectors, where she has held executive, management and consulting positions. Prior to her current position, Carla worked for Merrill Lynch in operations management and HR consulting for ten years, and then served in the capacity of Director of Human Resources for the International City County Management Association (ICMA) for twenty years. As an HR executive Carla has been responsible for all aspects of the HR function, including employee relations, internal training and development, compensation, benefits, performance appraisals, and recruiting. Carla now serves as Vice President of Human Resources and Administration for the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) in Arlington, VA. In her current capacity, she serves as the strategic voice in Human Capital Management for this non-profit, non-partisan, educational membership association. Ms. Mazique is a part of the senior executive team and is responsible for all areas of human resources including employee relations, culture enhancement, organizational change, facilitation, training and development, in addition to the association’s administrative initiatives. She lives in Fairfax, VA with her husband of 23 years and their two children who are in college.
