Georgia Tech AMPF Tour

This tour will involve a walk through of the Georgia Institute of Technology Advanced Manufacturing Pilot Facility (AMPF), which is a joint research and development facility between Georgia Tech, Delta Airlines, and Boeing. The tour will include demonstrations by students and faculty in the areas of digital manufacturing, multi-axis machining, additive manufacturing, hybrid manufacturing, robotics, and x-ray non-destructive evaluation. There also will be a walk through of the student competition center, which houses competition the fabrication and assembly spaces for student teams in the areas of motorsports, offroad, solar racing, robotics, and eco-car. 

Registration

In order to attend the tour, we ask that attendees check the box for the tour during registration. There is no additional fee to attend. Capacity is limited to 40, so be sure to register soon.

Time

The tour will take place from 4:00 - 6:00 pm on Tuesday, February 12. Please plan to arrive no later than 3:45 pm to begin the tour promptly at 4:00 pm.

Transportation

Visitors are encouraged to take Uber or Lyft to the facility or carpool as available.

Parking

The E70 lot, which is located right next to the building, is a parkmobile location. This allows customers to pay for Georgia Tech visitor parking using their cell phone. The closest parking option for visitors is located in the E70 lot, marked next to the Engineering Center on the visitor-parking map (please note there are two E70 lots on the map). In the event the E70 lot gets full, there is surface street parking in the surrounding public side streets.
