2003 Combat Vehicles Conference 3620
2003 Combat Vehicles Conference
“Post-War Transformation”
Event #3620
September 22-23, 2003
Fort Knox, Kentucky
Overview
Our nation's ground forces have been hard at work over the past year. The lessons learned from the 'shock and awe' in the deserts of Iraq will have a profound effect on the way the Army and the Marine Corps continue their tailoring of 21st Century war-fighting. One thing is sure.
Transformation of our ground forces will take on an ever-increasing pace, as we sift through the aftermath of Iraqi Freedom. The theme of this year's conference is "Post-War Transformation," with presentation themes to include: "Post War Challenge" and "Objective Force Update," as well as a view from Congress. Panels will address the Iraqi War, USMC Program Updates, and a "TACOM Community Assessment."
The Conference concluded with a panel of past senior leaders providing a frank assessment of Army and Marine Corps Transformation initiatives. As always, the Conference provided ample opportunity for key Transformation issues to be dealt with head on.
